CUTTACK: Seven more persons from Cuttack district tested positive for dengue at SCB Medical College and Hospital here on Wednesday. The hospital sources said a total of 42 samples were examined on Wednesday of which nine tested positive for the disease. The nine positive cases include seven from Cuttack and the rest from Dhenkanal and Jajpur districts.
The seven positive cases detected in Cuttack have been reported from Nirgundi, Choudwar, Bilteruan, Patenigan, Kalamatia, Bajadhara and Bastapada localities of the district. Assistant nodal officer of SCB Dengue Ward Dr Sriprasad Mohanty said a total of 43 dengue patients are now undergoing treatment and four of them have been shifted to ICU after their condition deteriorated.
