RAMANATHAPURAM: The Rameswaram beach turned into a busy spot after a span of 15 days as the fishermen returned to sea after the strike anticipating a good catch.
The fishermen and boat owners had called for a strike on August 13 urging the government to fulfill their demands.
Meanwhile, the fishermen association leaders decided to resume the work to help families involved in the profession.
 More than 500 mechanised boats ventured into the sea today.
Fisheries department officials were busy issuing tokens to fishermen since morning.
