CHENNAI: The State government on Friday announced transfers and posting of nine IPS officers in the State, while cancelling the posting of Madurai district SP Asra Garg as Deputy Commissioner of Anna Nagar and retaining him in the original post.
According to a press release here, M Ramasubramani, DIG, Kancheepuram Range, had been transferred and posted as DIG, Tirunelveli district, in the existing vacancy.
Vinit Dev Wankhede, on repatriation from the Government of India, had been posted as DIG, Villupuran Range, while K S Narenthiran Nayar, Superintendent of Police, Special Division, SBCID, would be Superintendent of Police, Thoothukudi district, in the existing vacancy.
P Pakalavan, SP, had been posted as SP, Cuddaloredistrict, and G Sampath Kumar, SP, Crime Branch CID, Chennai, as SP, Vellore district, in the existing vacancy.
E S Uma, DCP (L O), Coimbatore City, had been transferred and posted as SP, Coimbatore district and M T Ganesamurthy, Superintendent of Police, Tamil Nadu Commando Force, shifted as Superintendent of Police, Dharmapuri district, in the existing vacancy.
The release said A Arun, SP, Tirupur district, had been transferred and posted as SP, Kanyakumari district, while B Shamoondeswari, Assistant IGP (administration) had been posted as SP, Tiruvannamalai district, in the existing vacancy.
Asra Garg, SP, Madurai district, who was transferred and posted as DCP, Anna Nagar, in Chennai, had been retained in his original post, the order stated.
