Three engineering students, including son of a inspector of the VI battalion, were arrested for threatening passers-by and damaging a government bus in an inebriated condition at Tallakulam here on Sunday.
According to police, 3 youth, Ranjith kumar (19) son of Palpandi, Inspector in VI Battalion and a student of KLN Engineering College, Arulraj (19), son of Jayaraj, assistant engineer of TNEB, Chokkikulam and a student of RL Institute and Vignesh (19), son of Ayyanan and a student of Kamaraj Engineering College, were creating ruckus in Tallakulam and also damaged a govt bus. They also pelted stones at 3 cars. Irked residents and the crew of the bus, informed the police about the trio.
The youth, who were on a two wheeler, also picked up a quarrel with the cops, who chased and caught them. Following this, the trio was arrested.
