Leaders from across the political spectrum in Tamil Nadu have slammed PMK leader S Ramadoss’ latest ‘casteist campaign’ against Dalits, calling the Vanniyar leader’s move ‘divisive politics’.

VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan has alleged that Ramadoss’ ploy of bringing non-Dalit groups together was to leverage the numbers on election eve.

“Quite frankly, he wants to show as though all non-Dalit groups are with him so that he could bargain for more seats,” said the MP from Chidambaram. CPI(M) leader G Ramakrishnan and CPI State secretary D Pandian condemned Ramadoss’s tactics.
