An engineering graduate allegedly committed suicide at Adukkamparai by consuming poison on Wednesday night.
Police said Suresh Kumar (23) was awaiting appointment as police constable after clearing various tests in a recently-held recruitment drive.
Kumar’s father, Babu, filed a police complaint stating that his son, who was suffering from stomach pain for a long time, had consumed poison at their house on Arni Main Road in Adukkamparai at about 10 pm on Wednesday. He was rushed to the Government Vellore Medical College Hospital where he died around 10.15 pm. Police said they would proceed with their inquiry based on the autopsy report.
