Members of AITUC staged a protest against the manner in which traffic police treated autorickshaw drivers at the Chittoor bus stand near Katpadi on Friday.

Protest was led by AITUC district secretary V Alwin and district deputy president M V Simbudevan. Protestors raised slogans against traffic police alleging that they booked false cases against autorickshaw drivers and sought action against Katpadi Traffic Police. Some members of AITUC were arrested and later released.
