Jayalalithaa flags-off Duronto Express to Madurai and Thiruvananthapuram

Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa Saturday flagged off two non-stop air-conditioned Duronto Express trains -- one from Chennai Central to Madurai and another from Chennai Central to Thiruvananthapuram.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa Saturday flagged off two non-stop air-conditioned Duronto Express trains -- one from Chennai Central to Madurai and another from Chennai Central to Thiruvananthapuram.

The bi-weekly Chennai Central-Madurai train will run on Mondays and Wednesdays, while the Chennai Central - Thiruvananthapuram trains will ply on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Several state ministers, Southern Railways General Manager (in-charge) A K Mital and senior railway officials were present at the flagging-off at a function at Chennai Central railway station.
