Sampath’s men flock to AIADMK

Sampath, a long time associate of Vaiko, had joined AIADMK and was immediately appointed Deputy propaganda secretary.

Nearly 250 supporters of MDMK leader Nanjil Sampath, who recently switched loyalties to the AIADMK, followed their leader and joined the ruling party in the presence of party supremo and Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and received their membership cards on Friday.

Talking to mediapersons, Sampath said more MDMK men would would be shifting loyalties very soon.

Welcoming the new members, Jayalalithaa said they had come to the right place and their hopes would not go to waste. She said the objective of the AIADMK was to realise a Tamil Nadu devoid of illiteracy and poverty. All those who joined the party should join the struggle to realise the rights of the State.

Meanwhile, Jayalalithaa presented an Innova car to Sampath to carry out the party work efficiently. Receiving the key of the car, Sampath thanked her for the gesture.
