51.8 cr for training first generation entrepreneurs

Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Saturday released Rs 51.8 crore for implementing the New Entrepreneur-cum-Enterprise Development Scheme (NEEDS).  The CM has already given administrative sanction for implementing this new scheme at an expenditure of Rs 100 crore and on Saturday, she has released the first instalment.

The scheme is aimed at assisting educated youth to become  first generation entrepreneursy by giving them training, assistance to prepare their business plans and helped to tie up with financial  institutions to set up their ventures.
