Celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Swamy Vivekananda next year, a series of programmes would be held throughout next year. Several organisations in Vellore district have collaborated to form a committee to organise the programmes.
Among the programmes planned for the coming year, on January 12, the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the committee would place portraits of the swamy in about 10,000 houses in Vellore City and 40,000 houses in Panchayat Unions across the district.
