Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa presented the award for special initiatives for the current year to S Natarajan, Collector of Tiruvarur district, in appreciation of the special efforts taken by him to recharge groundwater.
On the first day of the conference of district collectors and police officers, Natarajan explained the efforts taken in Tiruvarur to recharge groundwater. Appreciating his efforts CM advised him to implement it in all parts of the district.
