Denying any irregularities in the appointments of 38 faculty members, Bharathidasan University (BDU) Vice-Chancellor K Meena on Saturday said all the norms and guidelines were strictly followed during the appointments.
The Vice-Chancellor said that approvals were also elicited from all the statutory bodies prior to the appointments. The V-C alleged that a few associations, which has not been recognised by the syndicates, made such baseless allegations.
A syndicate member Subbaiah, who spoke in the meeting, urged the statutory body to take action against a member who is speaking publicly about the decisions taken at closed door meetings.
While submitting the annual report before the senate members, Meena said Bharathidasan university had got ‘A’ grade certificate of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
