‘Narayanasamy, Rangasamy two sides of same coin’

AIADMK state secretary A Anbazhagan on Saturday alleged that Union Minister of State for Prime Minister’s Office, V Narayanasamy, and Chief Minister N Rangasamy were responsible for the present financial crunch that the Union Territory is facing.

Addressing a press conference, Anbazhagan alleged that  Narayanasamy had failed to take care of Puducherry.

Anbazhagan said that finances for local bodies eluded Puducherry as it was not included in the 12th and 13th Finance Commission.

Anbazhagan further stated that on Centre’s direction Puducherry had opened a separate public account with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), following which Central assistance to the UT was reduced to 30 per cent from 70 per cent. Narayanasamy, who should have taken up the issue with Centre, failed to act.

He said that Rangasamy was not paying adequate attention to administration and was not taking up issues bothering Puducherry with centre.

Narayanasamy and Rangasamy were two sides of the same coin, he added.
