A legal team of the Tamil Nadu Government, led by its Advocate general A Navaneetha Krishnan visited the Mullaiperiyar Dam site on Friday to get a first hand information on the attempts of Kerala to prevent maintenance work of the structure and explore the legal options in this regard.
Already Tamil Nadu has filed a case before the Supreme Court against Kerala for attempting to hinder the maintenance work.
Besides, the team will also gather information to file a petition before the apex court for increasing the storage level of the dam from 136 ft to 142 feet.
The team inspected the ongoing work of plugging the holes that were drilled by the SC panel during its inspection.
