Fisherman murder case: 2 more held

Two more persons were held in connection with murder of fishermen’s leader Jagadeesh, who was hacked to death in the Education Department office complex here a few days ago.

Police here have taken custody of four persons, who had surrendered before a Chidamabaram local court.

After questioning the five — Murthy (45) of Viathikuppam, Rajasekar (22) and Joseph Sundar (21) of Reddiarpalayam, Silambu alias Manigandan (22) of Kosapalayam and Arul Devarasu (21) of Mudaliarkuappam in Tamil Nadu — police here arrested two more persons — Vimal (24) of Jeevanandapuram and Mathiazhagan (24) of Kuyavarpalayam — who had been suspected to be invovled in the murder.

Meanwhile, two more persons, Vinoth and Vallathan surrendered before a local court in Panrutti on Friday.
