All the Sri Lankan refugees from various camps in Tamil Nadu, detained by the Kerala police and brought to Tirunelveli, have been sent back to their respective camps.

As many as 123 inmates were detained by the Kerala police on Sunday when they were to be trafficked to Australia in two fishing boats from Kollam in Kerala.

They were brought to Tirunelveli and handed over to Mandapam Refugee Camp Special Deputy Collector Durai and Tirunelveli district tahsildar (rehabilitation camps) Arumugam on Wednesday. They were kept in a marriage hall in Palayamkottai before being handed over to the officials.
