Puducherry unit of BJP held street campaigns at various places here on Sunday ahead of party’s nation-wide Jail Bharo agitation on June 22.

Puducherry unit president S P K Dhamodhar led the campaign from the Indira Gandhi statue and covered three assembly constituencies. BJP had announced the Jan Sangarsh Abhiyan and Jail Bharo agitation to protest corrupt administration of the UPA government.

The agitation would also demand  rollback of the recent petrol price hike and protest the alleged mistreatment meted out to the non-Congress-ruled states.
