Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa inaugurated 35 bridges through video conferencing on Tuesday. The bridges are in various districts including Coimbatore, Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Villupuram, Tiruvannamalai, Dharmapuri, Dindigul, Erode, Tanjore, Virudhunagar, Tirupur, Namakkal, Vellore and Tiruvarur, and a bypass road in Tiruchy, completed at a total cost of `172.2 crore. Some of these include a Road Over Bridge constructed across the railway crossing between Pothanur and Madukarai and an overbridge across Thamirabarani on Cheranmadevi River Road.
