Chennai Exporter cries foul

A Chennai-based exporter lodged a police complaint on Wednesday, claiming that a group of persons, at the behest of his mother and sister, allegedly broke into his houses at Chennai and Nerinjipet and took away many documents and jewels.

In his complaint with the SP’s office on Wednesday, R Senthilkumar (42) said that his father K Rajagopal left behind vast property, including two firms, involved in bus and engineering services.

Senthilkumar ran an export-import business and lived in a flat with his wife at T Nagar, Chennai. On December 14, 2009, while he was away at Erode, some persons broke into his house and took away many documents and cheque books. Though the Mambalam police registered his complaint, they failed to take any action. He also sent a petition to the CM’s office.

On June 2, 2012, allegedly a group entered his house at Nerinjipet near Bhavani and took away jewels weighing 20 sovereigns, bank cheques and many documents.

Though he suspected the involvement of 10 persons including his sister, mother, some relatives and some AIADMK functionaries in the incident, police did not arrest anyone.

Hence, he suspected that the police were also involved.

He also claimed that his relatives filed cheque bounce cases against him using  cheque leaves of closed accounts.
