Sankararaman murder case postponed to July 4

Principal District and Sessions judge C S Murugan on Thursday adjourned the hearing on petitions filed by late Sankararaman’s wife Padma seeking “re-examination” of her and family members in the case and “police protection” for them to July 4.

The Chief Judge of Puducherry could not take up the hearing as the Madras High Court was yet to take up a fresh petition, seeking the transfer of Sankararaman murder case from the trial court in Puducherry to Madras High Court.

Nine of the 24 accused were present at the court on Thursday.
