COIMBATORE: Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council president K Rajan, on Saturday, appealed to cinema hall owners to reduce prices of tickets so that people can watch movies with their families. Rajan said that for the last eight months theatres have seen a good response because of successful low-budget films. But, movie buffs can’t afford the highly priced tickets and food in theatres. “If a family wants to watch a film at a theatre, they need to shell out around Rs 500 to Rs 1,000,” he said and added that the government should fix ticket rates.
