CHENNAI: ‘DMK treasurer M K Stalin for party chief’ was the sentiment echoed by almost every Youth Wing functionary who spoke at the Youth Wing meet in Anbagam, here on Sunday.
“Even as the party lost its deposit in the Sankarankoil by-poll, the party’s morale has not been shaken. That is because of the persistent efforts taken by Stalin,” a functionary noted.
“Stalin had been rejuvenating the party’s youth wing through his frequent tours covering the entire State. Therefore, he should be made the party chief,” the functionaries claimed. “Only Stalin is capable of leading the party after his father M Karunanidhi,” they observed.
Meanwhile, DMK chief M Karunanidhi would chair the party’s advocates meeting to be held on May 12.
