CHENNAI: :DMK chief M Karunanidhi said law would take its course, when asked about the bail petition filed by former telecom minister and party MP A Raja, who is the prime accused in the 2G scam, here on Wednesday.

Responding to a question whether Raja would get bail, Karunanidhi wondered why Raja should not. “If Ravanan (close relative of Sasikala) could, why not Raja,” he said. Asked whether Raja would get a similar rousing reception accorded to Kanimozhi on her homecoming after languishing in Tihar, Karunanidhi said he would have to give it a thought.

On fielding a common candidate for the for the Pudukottai by-election, Karunanidhi said that the one who talked about it would have to answer the question, as he never spoke to anyone about fielding a common candidate.
