Virudhunagar retains 1st spot

VIRUDHUNAGAR/ERODE: Virudhunagar district retained its numero uno position in the overall pass percentage in higher secondary education in the State by securing 96.38 pass percentage this year too.

Of 20, 365 students who appeared for the exam in the three education districts of Virudhunagar, 8662 boys and 10, 619 girls passed.

However, Erode district lost its second position and is now placed third in the State following a slight fall in its pass percentage.

Of 25,084 students who appeared, 23,415 passed and the overall pass percentage of the district is 93.35, less than the pass percentage of last year. Thoothukudi district now ranks second in the State.

Of 12,269 boys, 11,324 secured pass (92.30 percent) and of 12,815 girls, 12,091 passed (94.35 percent).
