Teachers to protest from June 3

The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of All Grade Teachers Associations will resort to a work-to-rule agitation from June 3, according to the federation leader Jayaram.

Jayaram said the government and Education Department are yet to take steps to fill the vacancies in the schools. Nearly 800 teacher posts are lying vacant and high schools and higher secondary schools have approximately 49 and 6 head masters’ vacancies respectively.
