The Madras High Court has directed one of the petitioners to submit the list of school/college students who have lost their certificates during the clash in Dharmapuri last year and details of documents, name of institutions where they studied and studies they pursued to enable the court to issue directions.
A division bench comprising Justices R Banumathi and K Ravichandrabaabu gave the direction while passing interim orders on a batch of writ petitions praying for various reliefs.
Another petitioner submitted that several families had not been paid interim relief. To this, Special Government Pleader IS Inbadurai submitted that as per the earlier orders of the HC, the government had sanctioned `7.32 crore and so far `6.09 crore had been disbursed. Advocate-General Al Somayaji sought time for getting instructions on whether they had really lost their belongings and relief, if any, be paid. The bench adjourned the matter till April 26.
