The Madras High Court on Monday constituted a five-member committee, headed by R Vasuki, IAS, to probe into the November 6, 2012 caste clash in Dharmapuri. Passing further interim orders on a batch of writ petitions, a division bench comprising Justices R Banumathi and K Ravichandrabaabu said the other members of the panel would be Palanisamy, IAS, and three RDOs.
They should go into the list of persons/families, who were affected by the incidents. The committee should visit the villages and make enquiry as to whether the compensation was paid to all the affected families, any family was left out and if it was so, to decide the quantum of the same to be paid to them.
The district administration should render all necessary assistance to the committee, the bench said.
