Alleging large scale corruption in land acquisition for the Assembly Complex, AIADMK local unit Secretary and MLA A Anbazhagan has said that he would again petition the CBI for an inquiry.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, he said so far the government had gone for land acquisition four times, but dropped it thrice. Even the MLAs’ hostel, a Rs 40-crore property, was dropped after moving for land acquisition under 4(a), 5(1) and 6 (a) of the Land Acquisition Act and withdrawn subsequently.
These had given scope for corruption and several crores of rupees changed hands, alleged Anbazhagan.
