MK to decide on alliance: DMK meet

A special meeting of district secretaries and high ranking functionaries of the DMK unanimously vested party patriarch M Karunanidhi and general secretary K Anbazhagan, on Friday, with the responsibility of settling an alliance for the coming Lok Sabha elections. The meeting also passed resolutions urging the Central and State governments to act on a number of issues, ranging from the completion of the Sethusamudram Canal and the Maduravoyal Elevated Expressway to finding a solution to the problems of TN fishermen.

Karunanidhi’s son M K Stalin, daughter K Kanimozhi, deputy general secretary Durai Murugan, organising secretary T K S Elangovan, the party’s LS leader T R Baalu and  A Raja participated in the meet.
