Cops keen on decongesting boulevard

Traffic wing of the Puducherry Police held a meeting with the operators of courier, parcel services and transporters’ agents and sought their co-operation for their efforts to decongest the boulevard area of the town.

The meeting was chaired by Superintendent of Police (Traffic), Gunasekaran, on Monday evening. Traffic SP advised all the representatives of the firms operating on the busy shopping streets to shift their operations out of the town to reduce the traffic congestion.

The representatives were asked to stick to the time permitted to them to enter the town till they find an alternative set up for their operations.
