Police on Saturday arrested a woman for allegedly forcing her 17-year-old daughter into prostitution to finance a medical surgery of her elder daughter.
Police said they picked up Geetha (39) following a tip-off from one Ganesan, who was reportedly approached by her. Some residents in the area also had called up the police as several men were frequenting Geetha’s house in Saravanampatty.
Police rescued Geetha’s daughter as well as two other call girls from the house and sent them to a Women’s Home.
