Pattalai Makkal Katchi (PMK) founder S Ramadoss and Jayankondam MLA J Guru have been barred from entering Cuddalore district for two months from January 21 to March 20.
Collector R Kirlosh Kumar passed the order under CrPC 144 as per the recommendation of the district Superintendent of Police, Radhika.
A statement released here by the Collector said, “Considering the tension currently prevailing in Cuddalore district and also to protect the routine life of the common people from being disrupted by law and order problems, PMK founder S Ramadoss and Jayankondam MLA J Guru have been barred from entering the district.
They have also been barred from holding demonstrations and public meetings anywhere within the district.”
It may be recalled that PMK leader Ramadoss was scheduled to attend a meeting in Cuddalore district on January 22.
