A 16-year-old boy studying class X in a private school at Mayiladuthurai narrowly escaped from a gang which tried to kidnap him on Thursday. He managed to jump out of the car of his captors and escape with minor injuries.
Sources said, two unidentified men tried to abduct S Sivabharathi (16), son of Sivakumar, a businessman from Rajagopalapuram near Kuththalam and a class X Student. The boy raised an alarm and managed to evade the kidnappers by jumping off the car.
