Youth, father held for killing elder sibling

The K V Kuppam police have arrested a man and his younger son for killing his elder son, on Wednesday. Police said Rajasekar (28) of Vazhakadipatti  near Gudiyattam, a construction labourer in Tirupathi, in Andhra Pradesh, often created a ruckus while in an inebriated condition whenever he came to his hometown to meet his children.

On Tuesday, he had come to Vazhakadipatti, after which he had an argument with his father Saminathan and younger brother Panneerselvam (26). The quarrel ended in Saminathan and his younger son strangling Rajasekar to death with a rope. The duo then hung him at home and fled the scene.

The incident came to light, when Rajasekar’s uncle Mani, who had come to visit him, alerted the K V Kuppam police. Following this, the K V Kuppam police on Tuesday retrieved the body and sent it to the Government Hospital for post-mortem.

The father and brother of Rajasekar were arrested on Wednesday and remanded to the Vellore Central Prison for Men.
