Jayalalithaa expels two former MLAs from party

Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Friday expelled two former MLAs from the primary membership and other responsibilities of the AIADMK with immediate effect.

In a statement released here on Friday, Jayalalithaa said that both the functionaries were expelled for acting against the principles and ideologies of the party.

The expelled functionaries are: K K Chinnappan, president of Ariyalur district MGR Mandram, and P Andivel, former MLA of Vedasandur constituency in Dindigul district. The AIADMK chief directed the party cadre to not to have any truck with these two functionaries.
