Ramesh murder: Special investigation team scour lodges for suspects

A team of police camped in Hogenakkal, Theerthamalai, Sitling and Sitheri Hills in Dharmapuri district to scan remote tourist homes in the district.

Following the brutal murder of BJP general secretary Auditor V Ramesh in Salem on July 19, the government appointed a special investigation division team to trace the murderers. A wing of the special team has been assigned the task of keeping a watch on tourist homes in Hogenakkal and adjoining areas.

As lodges in remote areas in Karnataka forest area do not maintain proper records, the SID verified details of current and recent visitors.
