The top brass of the DMK’s Puducherry unit travelled to Chennai to greet party patriarch M Karunanidhi, who turned 90 on Monday. The party’s local unit convenor Dr M A S Subramanian, former Chief Minister R V Janakiraman, MLA Nandha T Saravanan and others personally greeted Karunanidhi on the occasion at the party headquarters in Chennai.
There was no dearth of celebrations in Puducherry as the cadre distributed sweets, fed the poor and disbursed assistance to the needy as part of the celebrations held in various part of the town in a grand manner. The DMK cadre distributed laddus to passers by and burst crackers near Nellithope market.
