A teenager was arrested in Thoothukudi for allegedly attempting to rape a minor girl.
Police said Thaddeusraj (19), a college student, reportedly attempted to rape a seven-year-old girl who was playing in the street on Sunday. The girl’s father lodged a complaint with Thoothukudi South Police. Following this, police arrested Thaddeusraj under provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
