The police on Wednesday arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl here on Wednesday.
According to the complaint, Kapilan had offered the girl cool drinks laced with drugs and had raped her a few days back. He allegedly filmed the act on his mobile phone. The girl was also raped by two of his friends, the complaint stated. Kapilan then threatened her with dire consequences following which the girl filed a complaint with the All Women Police (AWPS) at Villianur. Police have launched a search for the other two accused.
