S Thirunavukkarasu of Vyasarpadi, working as Assistant Central Intelligence Officer in Nellore in AP, who had been severely attacked by City police on June 11 last, has moved the Madras HC seeking a compensation of Rs 25 lakh for the injuries he had sustained in the assault. His interim prayer was to direct the government to pay Rs 5 lakh towards interim relief. Justice K K Sasidharan, before whom the writ petition came up for hearing on Tuesday, ordered notice.
