Blind pastor accused of molesting minor girl

Omalur All Women Police registered a case against a visually challenged pastor for allegedly molesting and threatening a minor girl with dire consequences, while she was working at his house as a domestic help last year.

The incident came to light on Monday after Aishwarya (17) (name changed) narrated her experience at Sam Srinivasan’s house to the Child Protection Officer Devaki, recently.

A Xavier, chairman of Reception Home under the observation of District Child Welfare Committee, said last year the home administration sent Aishwarya to the pastor’s  house as a domestic help. However, she returned within three months without citing any reason and refused to go back to the pastor.

Aishwarya told Devaki that Pastor Sam had molested her thrice and threatened her not to reveal it to anyone.

Sam Srinivasan denied the allegations and said Aishwarya was more like a daughter to him and she was being pressurised to make such claims.
