Five criminals held for hotel ransacking

A day after a hotel was ransacked by rowdy elements, five of them were arrested here on Wednesday.

Grand Bazaar sub inspector Sajith said the arrested persons were identified as Prabhu,28, hailing form Kurusukuppam, Rajesh, 29, hailing from Mudaliarpet, Selvam alias Selvakumar,29, from Mudaliarpet, Sasi alias Sasikumar,29, from Nellithope and Ezhumalai,27,from Mudaliarpet. Police are on the lookout of another accused, Boopalan. The arrested persons were involved in a number of cases.

SP (North) S Ramaraj appealed to the hotel and shopkeepers to immediately inform the police about such incidents so that the culprits could be nabbed.
