Five persons, including four mercenaries, who had come to execute a revenge murder were arrested from a lodge here on Friday.
Sources said that based on a tip-off, a team raided the private lodge and found five persons carrying guns and weapons. They were identified as Seeni Mohammed (58) and Ameer (24) of Sankarankovil, Azharuddin (21) of Paramankurichi, Shanmughayyya (52) of Sankarankovil and Shah Jahan (17) of Rajapalayam.
A case was registered. Links with terrorist groups were being probed.
