Bike Collides with Mini-lorry; 2 Dead

PUDUCHERRY: Two bikers were killed in an accident on the Puducherry-Villupuram road at Moolakkulam, when the bike on which they were travelling hit a mini lorry here on Saturday.

According to police, Noor Mohammed (35), who runs a mutton stall at Shanmughapuram, and his friend Sudarshanan alias Ranjit (19), were on their way to Sultanpet.

While returning from Sultanpet, the bike collided with a mini lorry proceeding to Villipuram from Puducherry near the Moolakkulam-J J Nagar junction.

The riders were thrown on the road and both suffered head injuries killing them on the spot. Neither of them were wearing helmets.
