CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Government’s Information Technology Department seems set for a busy year ahead, with Minister Mukkur N Subramanian announcing that the Tamil Nadu e-Governance Standards Manual would be released soon.
He also announced a number of projects aimed at improving the efficacy of the use of network resources by various government departments, the development of a Tamil visual thesaurus and a pilot project to set up 320 Arasu Common Services Centres to improve the services of the Arasu Cable Corporation. Subramanian’s announcements came during the ongoing Budget Session in the Assembly.
