Stray Deer Rescued from Village Well

VELLORE: The New World Animal Rescue Charitable Trust in Pallikonda rescued a deer, which had strayed into Kilchur village and fallen into a farm well, on Tuesday.

S Sugumar, founder-chairman of the trust, said, the female adult deer might have come out of the forest in search of water.

It was found struggling for life when some passersby informed the trust. A rescue team rushed to the spot and pulled it out of the well.

After first aid by a veterinarian attached to the trust, the deer  was handed over to the forest department officials attached to Gudiyattam range.
