VELLORE: The Arakonam Rail Passengers Association has urged the Southern Railway authorities to make all the special trains introduced during special festival occasions  to reduce the crowding of passengers, permanent so that these trains continued to serve the passengers.

Raghunathan, spokesperson of the association said that the southern railway has announced the introduction of a special train between Arakonam and Chennai from August 11 for a period of one month. The train 43247 would leave Chennai central at 7.30 pm and would reach Arakonam at 9.10 pm, passing through the stations of Basin Bridge, Perambur, Villivakkam, Ambattur, Thirunindavur, Thiruvallur, Kadambathur, Thiruvelankadu. On its return, the train would leave Arakonam by 9.50 pm and would reach Avadi by 10.50 pm.
