COIMBATORE: A 27-year-old man was arrested for allegedly entering the premises of a women’s hostel stark naked, at Mettupalayam here on Saturday. Police said the man entered the hostel after taking up a challenge under the influence of alcohol.
Sources said D Mathivanan (27), a resident of MGR Nagar on Karamadai Road was consuming liquor with his friends on Saturday morning when they dared him to enter a girls’ hostel without his clothes on. Mathivannan jumped over the perimeter wall, but was noticed by the warden, who alerted the lone security guard S Rajendran (60) who tried to stop him. Mathivannan allegedly picked up a log and threatened him before escaping. Police nabbed Mathivannan within an hour of the incident.
