Injured Tiger Cub Dies in Mudumalai

COIMBATORE: The one-and-a-half-year-old tiger cub which was caught in a goat shed in the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve recently, died on Sunday evening.

The tiger cub which was caught at Nambikuni, a tribal settlement area in Mudumalai village in Mudumalai Panchayat was found dead in the cage. Veterinarians said possibilities are that the animal would have been hit, as there were internal injuries. However Sadiq Ali, a member of the committee constituted soon after the capture of tiger cub, said the injury was caused by the goats.
